Fri 29th Sep 2006 : Wollaton Park, Nottingham - On the lake, a Kingfisher, Little Grebe (both relatively unusual for this site), Grey Wagtail

Fri 29th Sep 2006 : Holme Pierrepont - Jay near Blotts, common sandpiper and kingfisher Blotts pit, 2 sand martins around lock gates.
Thu 28th Sep 2006 : Lound (Windsurf Pit) - 10 Dunlin, 9 Little Stint, 1 Curlew Sandpiper 1 Spotted Redshank, 1 juvenile Hobby and 1 Greenshank.
Thu 28th Sep 2006 : Lound (Neatholme Scrape) - 1 Curlew Sandpiper, 6 Little Stint, 7 Dunlin and 1 Green Sandpiper.
Three men with a red quad bike and white trials bike were seen riding along the buns and damaging the new Neatholme scrape viewpoint. If anyone sees any activity like this the inform the police and/or Tarmac

Tue 26th Sep 2006 : Holme Pierrepont - Hedgerow (by Sandy lane), along side new fishing pit, 2.30pm, pushed a whinchat ahead of me as I tried to get as close as possible.

Mon 25th Sep 2006 : Lound (Chainbridge NR Scrape) - male Stonechat briefly perched on Willows just down from Chainbridge viewpoint at 10.15am, 6 Little Stint, 1 Curlew Sandpiper (Same bird as on the Windsurf Pit) 6 Dunlin, 35+ Snipe and 25 Teal.

Tue 19th Sep 2006 : Hoveringham - In the on the former new workings (now being drained for 'landscaping') were, 3 Greenshanks, 5 Green Sandpipers, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Shelduck (adult), 1 Peregrine (immature probable female)
Mon 18th Sep 2006 : Lound (Windsurf Pit) - 1 Spotted Redshank, 2 Greenshank, 3 Ringed Plover, 1 Curlew Sandpiper & 5 Little Stint (evening), 8 Dunlin, 10 Pied Wagtail, 1 Sparrowhawk, 2 Jays and 3 Herons.

Sat 16th Sep 2006 : Attenborough NR. - On Clifton Pit:- 4 Little Egrets, Western Yellow-Legged Gull [overflying], Black Necked Grebe [juvenile - feeding around reed beds in front of hide], 26 Egyptian Geese including 2 unfledged goslings. On the Works Pit:-3 Snipe.
Fri 15th Sep 2006 : Netherfield Lagoons NR: - Blackcap, Common Whitethroat. Western Yellow-Legged Gull, Dunlin, Argentinian Blue-Billed Duck, Hobby, 40 Tree Sparrows [in hedgerow] + Spotted Flycatcher [power lines @ stile/Stoke Lane], + 3 Comma's, 5 Red Admirals, 2 Small Coppers, Small Tortoiseshell + Migrant Hawkers, Common Darters, Black Tailed Skimmer, & Common Blue Damselflies
Fri 15th Sep 2006 : Lound (Windsurf Pit) - 1-3 Greenshank and 4-5 Ringed Plover with Chiffchaff in song nearby.
Fri 15th Sep 2006 : Lound (Neatholme Scrape) - 3 juvenile Little Stints present up until 12.30pm at least with 5 birds present here in the evening, also 3 Hobby (ad & 2 juveniless), juvenile Marsh Harrier over then later on Chainbridge NR Scrape, 4 Ringed Plovers, 1 Little Ringed Plover, 3 Pintail, 2 Dunlin, 1 Jay, 1 Willow Tit and Yellow Wagtail over.
Fri 15th Sep 2006 : Lound (Chainbridge Scrape) - 9 Black-tailed Godwits at midday with 8 still present in the evening, 1 Spotted Redshank in the evening, 2 Dunlin, 200+ Golden Plovers, 20 Goldfinches and 27 Snipe.
Fri 15th Sep 2006 : Attenborough - Black Tern, Little Egret [both Clifton Pit], Common Sandpiper.

Tue 12th Sep 2006 : Attenborough - Black Tern x2,Common Sandpiper[Clifton Pit].
Tue 12th Sep 2006 : Attenborough NR - Clifton Pit, Little Tern (Juvenile) present 12:30- 1:45., Black Tern (2 Juveniles present 2:00pm- 4:40pm at least). There was also a tern present with a black bill discussed by birders present, after checking Terns of Europe it seems to be a Common

Sun 10th Sep 2006 : Attenborough - Macaw species (possibly Great Green Macaw) Over visitors centre, flew from Long Eaton end towards Attenborough Village. Chased off by a mob of black headed gulls. A very expensive loss to owner, but a stunning sighting!!!

Fri 8th Sep 2006 : Stoke Bardolph - Around the sewerage works, Willow Warbler, 2 Yellow Wagtails, Grey Wagtail, 20 Grey Partridges + Small Copper, Small Tortoise Shell, Common Blue, Comma, Red Admiral and Painted Lady butterflies.
Fri 8th Sep 2006 : Netherfield Lagoons - Reed Warbler, Blackcap, Little Ring Plover, Ringed Plover, Yellow Wagtail, Green Sandpiper, [drainage ditch, building site], 40 Tree Sparrows [hedgerow].
Fri 8th Sep 2006 : Eaton - Dutch ringed White Stork still present in the morning at least.
Fri 8th Sep 2006 : Attenborough - 1st Winter Mediterranean Gull[Tween],Snipe.
Thu 7th Sep 2006 : Stoke Bardolph - At the back of Stoke Bardolph sewage works -- 2 Chiffchaffs, 6 Willow Warblers, 3 Yellow Wagtails, 23 Teal, 36 Shoveller, 1 Whinchat, 1 Common Buzzard, 7 Yellowhammers. This area of land is private but footpaths take you right around the land at the back of the sewage works and providing you do not make a nuisance of yourself the landowner and tenant farmer seem OK with birders.To get there stop along Stoke lane after the sewage works fence at the first row of cottages on your right and the footpath is on the other side of the road and follow the path and follow it to the railway line and turn left. The new road is being developed in the area and farm vehicles use the paths so caution must be taken.

Wed 6th Sep 2006 : Spion Kop - Barn Owl
Wed 6th Sep 2006 : Papplwick - 20:15hrs Nightjar - flying low over cottages
Wed 6th Sep 2006 : Colwick CP - Whitethroat, Blackcap, 2 Chiffchaffs, Hobby [migrant trap], Grey Wagtail, Red Crested Pochard [male-West Lake] + very pale,biscuit coloured immature Herring Gull type, some black in primaries so assumed Herring Gull.
Tue 5th Sep 2006 : Maun Valley Trail - 4 Spotted Flycatchers, 6 Chiffchaffs, 1 Winchat, 1 Tree Pipit through to the S/W, 1 Hobby also just off the Maun Valley trail, behind houses on old Mill Lane a female Wheatear in children's play area.
Tue 5th Sep 2006 : Edwinstowe - 11.25am juvenile Hobby, flying west but being carried east by the wind.
Tue 5th Sep 2006 : Attenborough - Spotted Flycatcher[L Meadow],Whinchat x2+Oystercatcher[sth of river,below Barton Flash],Little Egret x2+Common Sandpiper[clifton pit],Water rail[wet Marsh].
Mon 4th Sep 2006 : Langford Lowfield - 2 Little Egrets (seen/left Collingham early a.m.), 1 Garganey (eclipse male).
Mon 4th Sep 2006 : High Marnham - 3 Golden Plovers, 12 adult Grey Partridge.
Mon 4th Sep 2006 : Dunham Lakes - 2 Green Sandpipers.
Mon 4th Sep 2006 : Collinghm New Workings - 1 Ringed Plover, 1 Dunlin, 3 Common Snipe, 1 Common Greenshank, 1 Green Sandpiper

Sun 3rd Sep 2006 : Hoveringham (Whasing Pit) - Western Yellow-Legged Gull, Black Tailed Godwit [over low,but did not land]
Sun 3rd Sep 2006 : Hoveringham (Sailing Pit) - Ruddy Shelduck [with Canada/Greylag flock @ 15:15], Common Sandpiper.
Sun 3rd Sep 2006 : Hoveringham (New Workings) - Western Yellow-Legged Gull, Green Sandpiper, + Black Tailed Skimmer + Clouded Yellow Butterfly [new plantation]
Sun 3rd Sep 2006 : Hoveringham (Big Pit) - 2 Little Egrets, 5 Snipe, Redshank + Migrant Hawkers & Common Darter Dragonflies + Hornet [big 'un].
Sun 3rd Sep 2006 : Barton-in-Fabis - 1 Whinchat on fence posts next to Barton flash, still present at 8.00pm. 1 female Northern Wheatear in the horse paddocks in Bartin-in-Fabis village. 4 Oystercatchers in sheep field near Barton flash also 14 Egyptian Geese. 1 Hobby, 1 Common Buzzard and the Red-tailed Hawk over Branshill wood.
Sun 3rd Sep 2006 : Attenborough - Little Egret x2,Oystercatcher x4.
