Skegby Bottoms - 1 Green Woodpecker [juvenile in horse paddock], 1 Kestrel, c.10 Swallow.
Annesley Pit Top - Turtle Dove, 2 Grey Partridge, Yellowhammer, Bullfinch, Linnet [many], Goldfinch [many].
Welbeck Raptor Watchpoint - 1 Osprey, 1 Honey Buzzard.
Barton-in-Fabis - 7 Black-tailed Godwit [Barton Flash], 14 Tree Sparrow, 6 Common Buzzard.
Cotgrave CP - Northern Wheatear [female], 4 Green Woodpecker, 4 Linnet, 5 Yellowhammer, 7 Reed Warbler, 2 Sedge Warbler, Blackcap.
West Bridgford - 5 Sand Martin [Lady Bay Bridge], 40 House Sparrow [Trent Lane].
Dunham Lakes - 3 Common Sandpiper, 2 Oystercatcher.
Netherfield Lagoons - 4 Lesser Whitethroat [juvenile with adults near railway bridge], 1 Hobby, 55 Swallow, 2 Common Buzzard, 1 Northern Wheatear [female on Slurry Lagoon], 18 Long-tailed Tit [flock], 2 Grasshopper Warbler, 6 Common Pochard [including a female with single newly hatched duckling - Slurry Lagoon], Argentine Blue-bill, 3 Garden Warbler, 7 Blackcap. Plus: Lots of juvenile warblers around the railway bridge and the lower footpath.

Budby Common - 2 Green Woodpecker, 12 Grey Partridge, 5 Yellowhammer, 5 Jay, 8 Linnet.
Attenborough NR - 1 Hobby, Tree Sparrow [plenty of young], Willow Tit.

Collingham GPs - 5 Oystercatcher, 100 Lapwing, 6 Little Egret, 125 Sand Martin, 100 Black-headed Gull, 2 Greater Black-backed Gull, 5 Herring Gull.
Netherfield Lagoons - 1 Yellow Wagtail, 43 Swallow, 156 Lapwing, 163 Black-headed Gull, 1 Common Tern, 3 Blackcap, 1 Hobby, 1 Song Thrush, 4 Willow Warbler [all juveniles], 1 Chiffchaff, 8 Common Pochard, 1 Argentine Blue-bill, 1 Grasshopper Warbler. Butterflies and Dragonflies: 2 Peacock, 2 Small Tortoiseshell, 1 Comma, 2 Black-tailed Skimmer, 1 Ruddy Darter, 1 Red-eyed Damselfly.
West Bridgford - Peregrine [juvenile flew low over Trent Bridge Cricket Ground].

Holme Pierrepont - A52 Pit: Goldeneye [female], 5 Common Swift, 2 Sand Martin, 6 Common Tern, Willow Warbler. Blott's Pit: 2 Reed Warbler, 130 Black-headed Gull [flooded field].
Cotgrave CP - 2 Turtle Dove, 4 Reed Warbler, Sedge Warbler, 5 Yellowhammer, 4 Linnet.
Collingham - 3 Little Egret [New Workings].
Wollaton - Hobby [perching on Wollaton Hall in between hunting forays], Arctic Tern [over to NW].

Attenborough NR - Black Tern, Yellow-legged Gull [seen on Coneries Pond and Sailing Pit], Blackcap, Common Whitethroat, Lesser Whitethroat, Blackcap, Sedge Warbler. Clifton Pit: 10 Pochard, Sedge Warbler. Tween Pond Scrape: 16 Common Tern [including 2 juveniles], 22 Lapwing, 2 Teal. Sailing Pit: Yellow-legged Gull, 32 Long Tailed Tit. Barton Side: Common Buzzard, 5 Egyptian Goose. Delta: 2 Reed Warbler, Kingfisher [front of hide].

Netherfield Lagoons - Slurry Lagoon: 150 Black-headed Gull, 22 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 10 Pochard, 20 Lapwing [over to west], Reed Warbler, Common Whitethroat. Small Fishing Pit: Sedge Warbler, Grasshopper Warbler [flushed]. Big Fishing Pit: 3 Common Tern, 5 Sand Martin, House Martin. Viaduct: 62 Swallow.
Stapleford - 2 Hobby [over to NE].

Arnot Hill Park - 3 Willow Warbler, 6 Goldfinch, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Sparrowhawk [male], 49 Black-headed Gull [over heading SE], 9 Long-tailed Tit [2 adult + juveniles], 55+ Common Swift [over mainly S/SW].

Attenborough NR - Little Tern, Yellow-legged Gull [Coneries Pond].
Edwinstowe - Goshawk [hunting over gardens].

Colwick CP - 3 Common Sandpiper [single and a pair, Trout Lake], Blackcap, Garden Warbler [migrant trap], 5 Linnet, 2 Green Woodpecker [female & juvenile], 64 Black-headed Gull, 7 Common Tern.

Mon 16th Jul

Colwick CP - 2 Spotted Flycatcher [industrial unit], Blackcap [male, female & juvenile], Garden Warbler [juvenile in the migrant trap], 3 Grey Wagtail, 5 Linnet [Trout Lake], Reed Warbler [West Lake], 52 Black-headed Gull, 16 Common Tern, 1 Common Pochard x Tufted Duck [Aythya hybrid].

Hoveringham - Works Pit: 3 Egyptian Goose, 2 Oystercatcher, 30 Lapwing [over], Sedge Warbler, 3 Reed Warbler, 3 Yellowhammer, Hobby. Flooded fields behind Sailing Pit: 3 Black-tailed Godwit [2 male - 1 female], Yellow Wagtail, 2 Shelduck. Sailing Pit: Willow Warbler, 6 Shelduck [including 4 ducklings]. Works Road: Grey Partridge.
Netherfield Lagoons - 2 Greenshank, 14 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 Yellow-legged Gull, 2 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Common Pochard [female].

Collingham - New Workings: 100 Lapwing, 5 Yellowhammer, 7 Common Tern [3 juveniles].
Langford Lowfields - Gadwall, 30 Lapwing, Hobby, Reed Warbler, Common Whitethroat, 12 Common Tern, 8 Lesser Back-backed Gull.
Netherfield Lagoons - 1 Greenshank , 1 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Grey Wagtail, 2 Skylark, 1 Yellowhammer, 4 Blackcap, 1 Garden Warbler, 2 Willow Warbler, 6 Reed Warbler, 1 Common Buzzard, 258 Black-headed Gull, 1 Greater Black-backed Gull, 3 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 5 Common Tern [including a juvenile], 1 Hobby [in the area by the railway bridge, seen to take a passerine and being mobbed by Swallows], Cuckoo [juvenile, being fed by Common Whitethroats], 2 Grasshopper Warbler. University Jubilee Campus - Common Tern [fishing the main lake at lunchtime].
Dunham Lakes - 5 Common Tern [3 adult, 2 juvenile], 2 Oystercatcher.

Netherfield Lagoons - 33 Lapwing, 28 Black-headed Gull, 5 Reed Warbler, 2 Grasshopper Warbler [heard reeling], 2 Lesser Whitethroat, 3 Garden Warbler, 4 Blackcap, 1 Hobby, Common Tern [Young Tern fledged today, seen to fly from the Slurry Lagoon back to the usual spot on the Deep Water Lagoon with both adults]. New Workings: [Please note that back-filling will start soon, on this site, once the water has been drained. The land will be developed in the near future]. 4 Green Sandpiper, 43 Common Swift, 75 Sand Martin, 1 Yellow Wagtail, 2 Grey Partridge, 2 Skylark, 1 Yellowhammer, 1 Lesser Whitethroat. Dragonflies, Butterflies and Moths: 7 Black Tailed Skimmer, 4 Six-spot Burnet, 2 Red Admiral, 3 Comma, 11 Meadow Brown, 3 Small Skipper.

Moorgreen Woods - 2 Jay, 2 Nuthatch, 2 Grey Partridge, 3 Chiffchaff, Garden Warbler.
Annesley Pit Top - 10 Linnet, Common Buzzard, 2 Gadwall, Tufted Duck [+ 11 ducklings], 12 Common Swift, [through to the south-east], Red-legged Partridge,2 Yellowhammer.
Newstead Pit Top - 10 Meadow Pipit.
Netherfield Lagoons - 1 Hobby, 23 Lapwing, 1 Yellow Wagtail, 2 Garden Warbler, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 3 Grey Wagtail, 1 Yellowhammer. Butterflies, Moths & Dragonflies: 3 Six-spot Burnet, 2 Comma, 11 Meadow Brown, 3 Gatekepper, 1 Red Admiral, 2 Tortoiseshell, 1 Small Skipper, 2 Black Tailed Skimmer.

A52 Pit: Goosander [female over to the south], Goldeneye [female], 10 Common Tern, 3 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 5 Common Whitethroat, Lesser Whitethroat, 4 Reed Warbler, 7 Blackcap, Chiffchaff, 3 Sedge Warbler, 3 Common Swift.
Netherfield Lagoons - 3 Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Garden Warbler, 2 Chiffchaff, 4 Grey Partridge [plus three young], 2 Pochard, 1 Argentine Blue-billed Duck [on slurry lagoon], 8 Bullfinch, 2 Willow Tit, 1 Cuckoo [juvenile being fed by Willow Warbler], 18 Lapwing. Burntstump CP - 1 Sparrowhawk [male], 2 Nuthatch, 5+ Willow Warbler, 1 Spotted Flycatcher, 6 Moorhen [2 adults with 4 young], 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 3 Common Whitethroat, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 5 Willow Tit.

Hoveringham - 75 Tufted Duck, 5 Grey Heron, 3 Oystercatcher, 1 Barn Owl, 20 Great Crested Grebe, 5 Yellow Wagtail, 9 Long-tailed Tit, Common Swift [numerous, along wih various Hirundines].
Netherfield Lagoons - 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 1 Hobby. New Workings: 1 Yellow Wagtail, 2 Tree Sparrow, 2 Grey Partridge, 250+ Sand Martin, 150+ Common Swift, 30+ House Martin.
Collingham - New Workings: 1 Hobby, 1 Green Sandpiper. Village: 1 Spotted Flycatcher.

Bramcote - 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker [male].
Attenborough NR - 2 Grasshopper Warbler. Butterflies: Red Admiral, Small Skipper, Large Skipper, Comma, Small Heath, Painted Lady, Ringlet, Meadow Brown, Gatekeeper. Moths: Silver Y, Si-spot Burnet, The Snout, Cinnabar Moth, Shaded Broad-bar, Lattice Heath, Yellow Shell.
Netherfield Lagoons - 1 Hobby, 1 Red-crested Pochard [male], 3 Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Chiffchaff, 2 Garden Warbler, 1 Grey Wagtail, 1 Oystercatcher, 1 Grasshopper Warbler, 5 Pochard [on slurry lagoon], 1 Tree Sparrow. Butterflies: 2 Small Skipper, 3 Gatekeeper, 3 Meadow Brown, 10 Ringlet.
