Mon 31st Jul 2006 : Attenborough - Snipe, Grey Wagtai
Sun 30th Jul 2006 : Netherfield Lagoons - 1 juvenile Black Tailed Godwit, 1 juvenile or immature Ruff, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Female Garganey, 1 Wigeon. Also 20-30 Painted Lady butterflies and plenty of larger dragonflies.
Sun 30th Jul 2006 : Bestwood (Mill Lakes) - Hobby.
Sun 30th Jul 2006 : Attenborough - Mediterranean gull[juv on Tween],Common Sandpiper x2+Snipe x2[clifton pit].
Fri 28th Jul 2006 : Netherfield Lagoons - 12 Black Tailed Godwits, only 10 0n the site initially but two more came in around 11.30, birds were still on the site at 3.45pm. 1 Female Garganey, 1 Peregrine, 1 unidentified raptor -- sturdy falcon but not a Peregrine, pale head and dark streak on face, very dark wing tips, flew over the site and quickly headed East of the site, pale underneath with dark streaks, no jessies, legs pale grey. Any ideas??? Please look out for it and hopefully someone can give it an i.d. 1 Clouded Yellow Butterfly and 20-30 Painted Ladies.
Thu 27th Jul 2006 : Lound - Up to 3 Little Egrets still present, also 8 Dunlin, single Golden Plover, again and single Black-tailed Godwit.
Wed 26th Jul 2006 : Netherfield Lagoons - 2 Black tailed Godwits, dozen plus Painted Ladies.
Wed 26th Jul 2006 : Lound - Up to 3 Little Egrets today with 2 on the Windsurf Pit and single on Chainbridge Pit. At Blaco Pits (private) 14 Great Crested Grebes had gathered on one pit and up to 60 Lapwings were present.
Tue 25th Jul 2006 : Lound - Two Little Egrets still present on Chainbridge Pit and the Windsurf Pit. Single Black-tailed Godwit on the Windsurf Pit. Chainbridge NR Scrape held 7 Green Sandpiper, 2 Common Sandpiper, single Golden Plover, 4 Dunlin, single Hobby over, 4 Littleringed Plovers and 11 Red-crested Pochard. Single Buzzard over Neatholme Lane.
Tue 25th Jul 2006 : Attenborough N.R. - Lesser spotted woodpecker(north path),red-crested pochard(church pond),yellow-legged gull(sail pit),snipe,2x yellow wagtail,buzzard.
Mon 24th Jul 2006 : Lound - Two Little Egrets present with one noted on Neatholme Scrape early am then a second bird on Windsurf Pit mid afternoon. Single Barn Owl over Chainbridge NR Scrape, 3 Black-tailed Godwits and single Grasshopper Warbler on the Windsurf Pit and single Greenshank, 5 Little ringed Plovers and 4 Dunlin on Chainbridge NR Scrape.
Mon 24th Jul 2006 : Hickling - Turtle Dove at canal bridge 33, Grantham Canal (Hickling to Hose stretch)
Mon 24th Jul 2006 : Attenborough N.R. - Yellow-legged gull,snipe,grey wagtail,3 yellow wagtails,2 common sandpiper.
Sun 23rd Jul 2006 : Lound - Little Egret on Chainbridge NR Scrape from 8.30am, also 8 Green Sandpiper, 1 Common Sandpiper, 6 Little ringed Plovers and single Dunlin. On the Windsurf Pit, 7 Green Sandpipers, 4 Black-tailed Godwits (also on Chainbridge NR Scrape), 4 Dunlins and nearby singling Grasshopper Warbler again. Single Common Sandpiper on Neatholme Works Pit and a pair of Lesser Whitethroats on Neatholme Lane at Cross Lane junction. Single Common Sandpiper on Bellmoor Pit. Single Common Gull on Chainbridge Scrape.

Sun 23rd Jul 2006 : Attenborough - Y.L.Gull+ oystercatcher[sail pit],Dunlin x2,Common Sandpiper,Black Tailed Godwit,Snipe[clifton pit],Hobby,Yellow Wagtail,Lesser Whitethroat.
Sat 22nd Jul 2006 : Lound - 13 Black-tailed Godwits on Windsurf Pit, also single Grasshopper Warbler there and a Turtle Dove on Cross Lane. On Chainbridge NR Scrape, 33 Black-tailed Godwit (1 colour-ringed), 8 Dunlin, 11 Little ringed Plovers, 4 Ringed Plovers, 8 Green Sandpipers, 1 Common Sandpiper and 3 Wigeon
Sat 22nd Jul 2006 : King's Mill Reservoir - 3 Common Sandpipers, 1 Little ringed Plover, 1 Kingfisher.
Fri 21st Jul 2006 : Netherfield - 2 Common Sandpipers, Black tailed Godwit.
Fri 21st Jul 2006 : Bilsthorpe - Common Buzzard, between Bilsthorpe and Eakring,
Fri 21st Jul 2006 : Attenborough - Snipe[clifton pit],LRP[Tween]
Fri 21st Jul 2006 : Attenborough N.R. - Yellow-legged gull,common sandpiper,common gull.
Thu 20th Jul 2006 : Eakring - Whimbrel going South west.
Thu 20th Jul 2006 : Cinderhill - 3.40, Nottingham Road, Nuthall Island - Common Buzzard.
Thu 20th Jul 2006 : Attenborough - common sandpiper,Turnstone x3[clifton pit],Y.L.Gull[sail pit],Grey Wagtail[centre].
Wed 19th Jul 2006 : Welbeck Watchpoint - adult Hobby at 12.30pm over the Great Lake.
Wed 19th Jul 2006 : Lound - 4 Green Sandpiper, 4 Little ringed Plovers, 4 Ringed Plovers and 5 Redshank [Chainbridge NR Scrape]. In the evening there were single Golden Plover, 5 Black-tailed Godwits, 10 Green Sandpipers, 5 Little ringed Plovers, 6 Greenshanks, 8 Oystercatchers and 2 Dunlin. Also a singing Grasshopper Warbler [next to Windsurf Pit].
Wed 19th Jul 2006 : Gringley Carr - Quail - calling at 11.00am from the last field on the right before the pumping station, Also a tatty female Marsh Harrier and a Curlew present.
Tue 18th Jul 2006 : Edwinstowe - c 6.45pm. Large raptor overflying again.
Tue 18th Jul 2006 : Attenborough - Yellow Legged Gull[sail pit],Redshank[clifton pit],Oystercatcher.
Mon 17th Jul 2006 : Lound - On Chainbridge NR Scrape 9 Green Sandpipers, 8 Ringed Plovers, 4 Little ringed Plovers and a single escape/feral Black Swan.
Mon 17th Jul 2006 : Dunham Lakes - Green Sandpiper, 2 Common Sandpipers, 16 Oystercatchers, 2 adult and 2 juvenile Common Terns.
Sun 16th Jul 2006 : Sutton Bonington - 2 X Buzzards moving south over village @ 1030
Sun 16th Jul 2006 : King's Mill Reservoir - 2 Common Sandpiper, Pochard with 5 young.
Sun 16th Jul 2006 : Attenborough - Yellow Legged Gull (Conneries Pond sat Blue Buoy no.9) Has Been there since 9:00 this morning (Time now 2:00p.m)
Sat 15th Jul 2006 : Stragglethorpe - Turtle Dove by Grantham canal - dry part - between Stragglethorpe and A46. Around 10.30am. Some Yellowhammers, Linnets and Common Whitethroats as well.
Sat 15th Jul 2006 : Langford Lowfields - 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Greenshank, 4 Green Sandpipers, 1 Common Sandpiper
Sat 15th Jul 2006 : Cotham Flash - 1 Little Ringed Plover, 1 Ringed Plover, 3 Common Snipe, 1 Redshank.
Sat 15th Jul 2006 : Collingham (New Workings) - 3 Little Ringed Plovers, 1 Dunlin, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Common Sandpiper
Fri 14th Jul 2006 : kinoulton - Grasshopper Warbler reeling again at Vimy Ridge. Hummingbird hawkmoth in garden near church. Hobby often between Kinoulton and Owthorpe.
Fri 14th Jul 2006 : Attenborough - Greenshank x2[over clifton pit],LRP[Tween],Oystercatcher+3 chicks[sail pit],Yellow Legged Gull[works beach,this is the previous couple of years, bird returning,almost to the day].
Thu 13th Jul 2006 : Langford Lowfield - 3 Common Snipe, 5 Green Sandpipers, 1 Common Sandpiper.
Thu 13th Jul 2006 : Eakring - Little Owl on top of electric pole at side of road just east of Eakring, 10.15 pm
Thu 13th Jul 2006 : Collingham (New Workings) - 4 Little Ringed Plovers, 1 Ringed Plover, 1 Dunlin, 1 Common Redshank, 2 Common Greenshanks, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Common Sandpiper.
Wed 12th Jul 2006 : Langford Lowfield - 5 Green Sandpipers, 1 Dunlin
Wed 12th Jul 2006 : High Marnham - 2 adult & 1 juvenile peregrine showing well around the cooling towers at the power station.
Wed 12th Jul 2006 : Collingham (New Workings) - 3 Little Ringed Plovers, 2 Ringed Plovers, 2 Green Sandpipers
Wed 12th Jul 2006 : Bevercotes - 1 Pair of Oystercatchers and a hare, on the cricket ground.

Mon 10th Jul 2006 : Beeston Rylands - flock 110 Swifts over Boots factory, plus c50 Sand Martins on Beeston Canal.
Sun 9th Jul 2006 : High Marnham - juvenile Peregrine at the power station.
Sun 9th Jul 2006 : Goosedale, Bestwood. - 1 Corn Bunting, 8 Tree Sparrows, 1 Little Owl.
Sun 9th Jul 2006 : Attenborough - Buzzard,Hobby[over main pond],LRP x2.
Sat 8th Jul 2006 : Netherfield - 1 Female Garganey, 187 Black headed Gull (and not one Med Gull amongst them, checked 3 times!), 19 Pochard, 9 Ruddy Duck, 18 Common Tern (ncluding 5 juveniles), 4 Garden Warblers, 6 Bullfinch (inc 3 Juveniles). Plus lots of Meadow Brown Butterflies ,2 Gatekeepers, 6 Small Tortoiseshells.
Sat 8th Jul 2006 : Langford Lowfield - 3 Little Ringed Plovers, 1 Ringed Plover, 6 Green Sandpipers, 1 1st summer Hobby
Sat 8th Jul 2006 : Girton G.P - 2 Little Ringed Plover.
Sat 8th Jul 2006 : Edwinstowe - Large Male Raptor, plucking and eating a Collared Dove on a lawn, was eventually startled and flew off with the dove carcass in an easterly direction
Sat 8th Jul 2006 : Collingham (New Workings) - 2 Little Ringed Plover, 2 Ringed Plover, 2 Green Sandpiper,
Fri 7th Jul 2006 : Skegby - In a Skegby Garden(19.30) - Juvenile Pied Flycatcher bathing in garden pond! (not seen since).
Fri 7th Jul 2006 : Netherfield Lagoons - Black tailed Godwit, Little ringed Plover
Fri 7th Jul 2006 : Lound - Up to 9 Common Terns in the area, also 7 Green Sandpipers, 2 Common Sandpipers and a single Cuckoo over Neatholme Scrape.
Fri 7th Jul 2006 : Attenborough - Black Tailed Godwit x17[over clifton pit heading West @11.00],LRP x2.
Thu 6th Jul 2006 : Lound - Single Black-tailed Godwit on Chainbridge NR Scrape, also 4 Little ringed Ploverss and 7 Green Sandpipers.
Wed 5th Jul 2006 : Lound - A male Ruff noted on Chainbridge NR Scrape, also Barn Owl seen with prey, plus single Common Tern. At Neatholme Scrape up to 7 Common Tern with a further 10 birds on Neatholme Pit. A single Hobby noted again over the Water Ski Pit.
Wed 5th Jul 2006 : East Leake - 8.15am Little Owl on telegraph wires on road between East Leake and Bunny near to Gypsum works end
Wed 5th Jul 2006 : Attenborough - Redshank[works],LRP x2[Tween].
Tue 4th Jul 2006 : Netherfield Lagoons - 4 + Yellow legged Gulls, 5 Little ringed Plovers, Green Sandpiper, Black tailed Godwit.
Tue 4th Jul 2006 : Lound - On Chainbridge NR Scrape 5 Black-tailed Godwits still present, also 7 Green Sandpipers, 25 Teal and single Common Tern plus 2 more on Neatholme Scrape.
Tue 4th Jul 2006 : Attenborough - Common Sandpiper,LRP x3[inc 1 juv],Hobby,[All Tween].
Mon 3rd Jul 2006 : Netherfield Lagoons - Spoonbill up until late evening
Mon 3rd Jul 2006 : Lound - Up to 12 Black-tailed Godwits noted on Chainbridge NR Scrape, also 7 Common Tern and 2 Green sandpiper. On Neatholme Scrape 2 Curlew, 2 Common Sandpiper and 2 Common Terns today.
Mon 3rd Jul 2006 : Gringley Carr - 1 Quail calling in peafield, close to pumping station at 2pm.
Sun 2nd Jul 2006 : Woodborough - Three Common Buzzards soaring over the village. General direction towards Dorket Head.
Sun 2nd Jul 2006 : Attenborough - Common Sandpiper,LRP x3 and 2 juv B.H.Gulls[All on Tween].
Sun 2nd Jul 2006 : Attenborough N.R. - A pair of oystercatcher on the sailing pit with 3 young chicks,emerald damselfly in the delta dyke.
Sat 1st Jul 2006 : Netherfield - 4 Little Ringed Plovers (2 adult and 2 juveniles), 4 Shovellers, 8 Pochard, 127 Lapwings, 1 Yellow Legged Gull, 1 juvenile Yellow Wagtail, 35 Sand Martins seemed to be on passage and headed together in group from N/E to S/E at 12.35, also 9 Black Tailed Godwits were seen earlier in the morning but failed to put down after flying low over the Slurry Lagoon and headed towards Holme Pierrepoint.
