Tue 31st Jan: Nottingham - 10.30 pm Peregrine on Newton building in its usual spot. Almost certainly a 2nd bird close by.

Mon 30th Jan: West Leake - 300-400 Fieldfare in tall trees N.side of Brickyard Lane
Mon 30th Jan: Nottingham - c20 Waxwings at Beechdale Baths again in the morning at least.
Mon 30th Jan: Nottingham - @ 13.50.Nottingham City Centre, Newton Building, Peregrine, perched just below the mast array. Good views for several minutes then flew off following the general direction of Mansfield Road.
Mon 30th Jan: Lound - No sign of drake Smew all day. Slavonian Grebe - Still on Chainbridge Pit. Whooper Swan - 4 reported on Clayworth Common but apparently no Bewick's. (Numbers do vary from day to day and birds do get on Neatholme Lane Pits). Stonechat - female/imm on set aside field between Chainbridge Lane and the old Windsurf Pit. Oystercatcher - 1 on Sutton Trout Lake (Doughty's Pit) Dunlin - 2 on Chainbridge NR Scrape.
Mon 30th Jan: Dunham-on-Trent Lakes - 300 Wigeon, 75 Mute Swans, good numbers of common winter ducks plus 5000/10000 Starlings showing well over the village just before evening roost.
Mon 30th Jan: Attenborough - The Little Egret was seen at 11.30am on Tween Pond but was disturbed by Gulls and few off westward. Water Rail on the Wet Marsh together with a Sparrowhawk that was hunting along the reed and tree line.
Mon 30th Jan: Attenborough - Scaup x4[females on main pond],Stonechat and Grey partridge x2[Erewash field],Chiffchaff x2,Little Egret[Tween pond].

Sun 29th Jan: Hoveringham ("New" new Pit) - Green Sandpiper, Short Eared Owl [14:00 - on scrub at the very back of the New New Workings, near railway - flew into old trees.

Fri 27th Jan: Retford - 2 Waxwings in Kings Park in Retford. Present all day until at least 1.30pm. There were 4 birds present yesterday but only two remain and are feeding on berry laden trees with other thrushes around the ornamental fountain lake opposite the entrance near the Police Station.

Sun 22nd Jan: Lound - The Slavonian Grebe is still present at Lound on Chainbridge Pit (the pit south of the viewpoint along Chainbridge Lane before the river bridge) for it's 8th day. Whooper Swan - 9+ on Clayworth Common, Bewick's Swan - 2 on Clayworth Common, Brambling - 1 near entrance to Chainbridge NR Wood, Chiffchaff - one at the Parish Park on Neatholme Lane, Redshank - 2+, Treecreeper - 1 in Chainbridge NR Wood.
Sun 22nd Jan: Hoveringham - Great Northern Diver back on the sailing pit and at least 1 Black-necked Grebe. A Common Sandpiper in field near level crossing.
Sun 22nd Jan: Gringley Carr - 5 Mealy Redpolls in setaside and on wires near the pumping station. Also 100+ Corn Bunting, 100+ Tree Sparrow, 170 Reed Bunting and 80 Lesser Redpoll
Sun 22nd Jan: Clumber Park - 2 Hawfinchs [behind chapel], also pair Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, 9 Goosander [females], Buzzard, Stonechat [female wetland], Water Rail [wetland].
Sun 22nd Jan: Clifton Grove - Female Lesser Spotted Woodpecker showed well for over an hour on the edge of Clifton wood near the Alder Plantation, also a small number of siskin in the area. 2 Golden Plover in field near Beeston weir with a small group of Lapwing. 2 Stonechats still in the area between the weir and Holme pit.
