• Bestwood Country Park - Pit Tip: c.20 Siskin [at western edge of main Plantation - present for at least a week]. Mill Lakes: c.50 Siskin [present for at least two weeks].
• Holme Pierrepont - 70 Eurasian Wigeon, 5 Golden Plover, 4 Kingfisher, 5 Grey Wagtail [over], 1 Sedge Warbler [ringed], 5 Reed Warbler, 8 Blackcap, 12+ Chiffchaff, 20+ Goldcrest, 15 Siskin, 40+ Lesser Redpoll [in small groups flying SW all morning].

• Attenborough Nature Reserve- Little Egret [Coneries], 90 Pink-footed Goose, [over new workings], 120 Greylag Goose [over new workings].
• East Leake Gravel Pits - 155 Northern Lapwing [on shallow gravel pit by main road].
• Annesley Pit Top - 2 Common Buzzard, 1 Jay, 1 Green Woodpecker.
• Basford - Meadow Pipit [over].

Fri 26th Sep

• Kimberley - 5 Common Buzzard [circling the Kimberley/Awsworth by-pass, looked very much like adults and juveniles drifting slowly towards Langley Mill.
• Netherfield Lagoons - 35 Golden Plover, 1 Dunlin, 1 Whinchat, 5 Lesser Redpoll, 3 Chiffchaff, 1 Reed Warbler, 3 Blackcap, 15 Siskin, 2 Common Buzzard, 7 Barn Swallow, 18 Meadow Pipit, 7 Skylark [through after mist lifted], 2 Grey Wagtail, 1 Cetti's Warbler, Black-necked Grebe [still present on the Slurry Lagoon].

• Hucknall - Tawny Owl [alarm call at 01:00], Green Sandpiper [calling from site of adjacent old Linby Pit tip at 12:00].

• Netherfield Lagoons - Garden Warbler, Willow Warbler, Long-tailed Tit [flock with the two species of warbler], Black-necked Grebe [still present on Slurry LAgoon], Peregrine [over], Common Buzzard [thourgh SW at approximately 11:00].
• Welbeck Lakes - 2 Osprey [passed through the site one at 16:42 and the second at 17:02], Sparrowhawk [female], Little Grebe, Great Crested Grebe, 1 Common Buzzard, 1 Jay, 3 Grey Heron, 2 Cormorant, Coal Tit, Nuthatch.
• Oxton Estate - 70+ Northern Lapwing, 12 Golden Plover, 7 Common Buzzard, 17 Common Pheasant, 10 Greater Black-backed Gull.
• Hoveringham - Railway Lake: 1 Peregrine [immature male], 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Common Sandpiper, 2 Blackcap, 1 Little Egret.
• Attenborough Nature Reserve - 30+ Chiffchaff, 2 Lesser Whitethroat.

Sat 20th Sep

• Budby Pumping Station - 4 Eurasian Wigeon, 2 Grey Heron, 30+ Linnet, 14 Gadwall [7 pairs], Siskin [large flock], Little Grebe, Merlin [in the trees directly opposite the entrance to the site], Barn Swallow [small flock still resident], 1 Goldcrest, 5 Kingfisher [2 adults and 3 young showing well], Treecreeper, Willow Warbler, Goldfinch [numerous young], 45 Northern Lapwing.
• Hockerton Housing Project - Osprey, Peregrine [seen occassionally during week], 3 Common Buzzard, Common Kestrel.

• Kings Mill Reservoir - 2 Common Snipe, 2 Eurasian Teal , 6 Barn Swallow [2 adults feeding 4 young], 1 Greylag Goose.
• Netherfield Lagoons - 7 Common Buzzard, 1 Hobby, 7 Yellow Wagtail, 4 Chiffchaff, 2 Northern Pintail [flew through around 15:00], 8 Common Snipe, 3 Water Rail, 153 Northern Lapwing, 147 Barn Swallow, 4 House Martin, 3 Sand Martin, 2 Sparrowhawk, 2 Common Gull, 1 Common Kestrel, 18 Meadow Pipit, 3 Blackcap, 1 Dunlin, 1 Common Swift [probable heading south but species id not 100%]. Butterflies and Dragonflies: 4 Common Blue, 1 Brimstone, 1 Red Admiral, 1 Small Copper, 5 Small Tortoiseshell, 7 Migrant Hawker, 9 Common Darter.

• Cuckney - 2 Common Redshank [in flooded field near Cuckney Church]
• Kilvington New Lakes - 1 Common Redstart [male], 2 Whinchat, 2 Northern Wheatear, 4 Eurasian Hobby, 4 Sparrowhawk [3 male & 1 female], 7 Common Buzzard, 7 Common Kestrel [including 4 juveniles], 1 Turnstone, 1 Grey Plover, 1 Common Redshank, 11 Ringed Plover, 1 Common Greenshank, 1 Eurasian Hobby, 3 Common Buzzard, 2 Little Egret.
• Budby Pumping Station - 3 Egyptian Goose [flew in from South, stayed 5 minutes then headed off West], 20 Gadwall, 1 Eurasian Hobby (adult, seen twice), 3 Grey Wagtail, 12+ Chiffchaff, 1 Common Crossbill [North].
• Bothamsall - 5 Northern Shoveler, 40 Eurasian Teal, 1 Garganey [female / immature], 16 Gadwall, 4 Green Sandpiper, 3 Arctic Tern [2 adult and 1 immature through to East], 36+ Yellow Wagtail.

• Spalford Warren NWT - 50+ Siskin [present since at least 17/08/08], Sparrowhawk [interested in Siskins], Willow Warbler, Spotted Flycatcher, Goldcrest, Tree Pipit, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Green Woodpecker. Plus: Flock of mixed Tits.
• Kilvington New Lakes - 2 Common Redstart [male and female], 3 Northern Wheatear, Eurasian Hobby, Peregrine, 4 Little Egret, 2 Common Buzzard, Osprey [through west along river Smite at 11:15].
West Lake: 4 Little Egret, 1 Common Greenshank, 4 Ringed Plover, 5 Whinchat, 1 Sparrowhawk, 2 Common Kestrel. East Lake: 11 Yellow-Legged Gull, 2 Herring Gull, 1041 Lesser Black-backed Gull.

• Netherfield Lagoons - 1 Peregrine [over Slurry Lagoon - with damaged right side secondaries. Hunted over the lagoon twice in an hour between 09:40 and 10:40, took a Feral Pigeon on second round], 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 1 Garden Wrbler, 3 Common Pochard, 8 Eurasian Teal, 1 Common Snipe, 1 Sparrowhawk, 77 Northern Lapwing, 173 Black-headed Gull, 2 Greater Black-backed Gull, 7 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 2 Stock Dove, Argentine Blue-bill, Peruvian Blue-bill, 47 Barn Swallow, 18 House Martin, 11 Sand Martin, 2 Common Tern, 2 Yellow Wagtail.
