Hoveringham - 1 Red Kite, [15:50 - with dark green wing tag with white tip. Hung around until 16:10 in large oak at Coneygre Farm along the footpath at the North West side of boating lake. Headed off to South].
Brierley Forest CP - 2 Grasshopper Wabler [1 reeling in wetland area].
Kingsmill Reservoir - 2 Common Tern [on tern raft], 2 Reed Warbler [1 reeling in reedbed], 3 Grey Wagtail [1 juv. near dam], 1 Kestrel.
Bestwood Country Park - Main site: 1+ Chiffchaff, 1 Common Whitethroat, 3 Jay, 2 Mistle Thrush, 2 Nuthatch, 1 Blackcap [male singing], 5+ Coal Tit [4 adults, 1+ juv.], 1 Kestrel [male feeding on insects in School field], 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker. Silverhill Wood - 4 Grasshopper Warbler [2 reeling out in open].
Welbeck Raptor Watchpoint - Shelduck, Cuckoo, Yellow Wagtail, Common Buzzard.
Hazel Grove: - Tree Pipit.

Lound - Neatholme Scrape: - 1 Black Tern [on island at 18:00], 1 Ruddy Turnstone, Dunlin. Neatholme Pit: 4 Ringed Plover. Cross Lane: 1 Turtle Dove.
King's Mill Reservoir - Ruddy Turnstone [looking for food near jetties adjacent to sailing club].
Gringley Carr - 1 Whimbrel [adjacent pumping station], Marsh Harrier [at 16:30].
Attenborough NR - Northern Wheatear, Whinchat.
Langwith - Osprey [being mobbed by crows].

Attenborough NR - Sedge Warbler, Garden Warbler, Blackcap, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, Common Whitethroat, Shelduck, 4 Egyptian Goose, Common Tern, Oystercatcher.
Bunny - 4 Common Swift, 2 Yellowhammer, 1 Reed Bunting, 3 Linnet, 2 Pied Wagtail, 3 Collared Dove.
Colwick CP - Mandarin [male], Sedge Warbler, 2 Garden Warbler, 4 Blackcap, Chiffchaff.
Netherfield Lagoons - 2 Arctic Tern, 3 Common Tern, 1 Cuckoo, 3 Grasshopper Warbler, 53 Sedge Warbler [singing. Not quite beating a 2005 count when 56 singing males was recorded], Reed Warbler [numerous], Common Whitethroat [numerous], Garden Warbler [numerous], 2 Shelduck, 8 Gadwall, 5 Skylark, 3 Lesser Whitethroat.

Netherfield Lagoons - 1 Osprey [over north end of fly-ash lagoon - mobbed by crows before moving off toward Gedling].

Netherfield Lagoons - 1 Hobby [hawking insects over the railway bridge], 7 Little Gull [passing over the site at 14:55], 2 Yellow Wagtail, 2 Ringed Plover, 2 Grey Partridge, 1 Northern Wheatear [female on deep water pit bank].
Attenborough NR - 3 Sandwich Tern [sailing lake]. New Workings: Arctic Tern, Whinchat [female], Willow Warbler Erewash Field: 4 Grasshopper Warbler, 7 Common Whitethroat, Chiffchaff, 2 Garden Warbler, 3 Sedge Warbler, Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Blackcap, 5 Skylark, Meadow Pipit. Sailing Pit: Oystercatcher. Church Pond:16 Common Tern. Works Pit: Goosander [male]. Main Pond: Shoveler [male]. Tween Pond Scrape: 2 Common Sandpiper, Yellow Wagtail, Pochard [male], 3 Teal.

Netherfield Lagoons - Nature Reserve: 12 Common Whitethroat, Lesser Whitethroat, 3 Sedge Warbler, 2 Reed Warbler, 3 Willow Warbler, 5 Blackcap, 2 Grasshopper Warbler, Chiffchaff. Fishing Pit: 2 Common Tern, 2 Grey Partridge. New Workings: 2 Yellow Wagtails, Yellowhammer. Please note: The field used for observation of the New Workings over the last few weeks is now out of bounds and the owner has requested that it is not walked on as planting is imminent. The footpath can still be used and is accessible via Teal Close.
Stoke Bardolph - 2 Common Tern, Common Sandpiper.
Attenborough NR - 1 Bar-tailed Godwit, 1 Shelduck, 2 Lapwings [Works Pond], 1 Common Buzzard [over railway line flying North East], 1 Kestrel [Beeston Meadow], Common Crane [flew NE low over Clifton Pit at 20:20. Flew down the valley on the south side, under Burrows Farm. Eventually lost to view as it flew beyond the trees on Barton Island].

Thu 3rd May

Welbeck Raptor Watchpoint - 5 Common Buzzard, 4 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Nuthatch, Common Swift [large number].
Netherfield Lagoons - 4 Shelduck [New Workings], 4 Common Tern, 1 Common Buzzard, c.3 Grasshopper Warbler [reeling]. Plus: Large numbers of migrants all around the site.
Hoveringham - Railway Lake: 20+ Great Crested Grebe, 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Northern Wheatear [male], 2 Red-legged Partridge, 6 Common Tern, 2 Arctic Tern [over].
Mansfield - Tree Sparrow [River Maun].
Attenborough NR - Black-tailed Godwit, Shelduck, Little Grebe.

Wed 2nd May

King's Mill Reservoir - 1 Common Sandpiper.
Basford - Common Buzzard [north over Vernon Park].
Netherfield Lagoons - New Workings: 3 Ringed Plover, 1 Common Sandpiper, 3 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Grey Wagtail, 14 Common Swift, 4 Stock Dove. Fly-ash Pit: 1 Spotted Redshank [almost full summer plumage. Arrived at 12.20 and still present at 14:00], 1 Whinchat [female], 4 Arctic Tern, 1 Argentine Blue-bill, Reed Warbler [new influx], Sedge Warbler [new influx].

Tue 1st May

Netherfield Lagoons- New Workings: 2 Arctic Tern [heading NE], 2 Ringed Plover, 4 Yellow Wagtail, 4 Common Swift, 20+ House Martin [collecting mud throughout the afternoon], 2 Grey Partridge.
Mansfield - 4 Common Swift [town centre].
