Holme Pierrepont - Finger Ponds: 3 Smew [male, 2 female - viewed from Colwick].
Netherfield Lagoons: - 21 Gadwall, 26 Eurasian Teal. New Workings: 2 Shelduck, 6 Redwing.

Thu 28th Feb

New Ollerton - 1 Firecrest [at Ollerton traffic island picnic area with large tit flock].
Attenborough Nature Reserve - 2 Shelduck, 4 Northern Shoveler, 1 Common Goldeneye, 17 Black-headed Gull.
Colwick Country Park - Nature Reserve: Water Rail [courseway], 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker. Loop Bank: 12 Redwing. Trout Lake: Mandarin Duck, 2 Red-crested Pochard [male & female].
Gringley Carr - Pumping Station area: 1 Pink-footed Goose [with Greylags], 1 Short-eared Owl, c.30 Corn Bunting.
Clayworth Common - 12 Whooper Swan.

Wed 27th Feb

Arnot Hill Park - 8 Red-crested Pochard [7 male & 1 female].
Clumber Park - Great Grey Shrike [in usual area].
Budby Common - 1 Great Grey Shrike [on the eastern part of the Common].
Thoresby Park - Black Redstart [showing well at 13:15].
New Kingston - 7 Siskin, 1 Woodcock, 3 Willow Tits, 4 Jay, 5 Common Buzzard.
Spalford Warren - c.50 Lesser Redpoll, c.4 Goldcrest [singing], Great Spotted Woodpecker, Green Woodpecker.

Thoresby Park - Black Redstart [1 male on roofs of the cafe and gallery buildings].
Norton Raptor Watchpoint - 1 Glaucous Gull [juvenile].
Clumber Park - Great Grey Shrike [in field with the white cows, straight across the lake from the chapel].
Shelford - 2 Brent Goose.
Kilvington - c.4 Greater Scaup.
Rufford Country Park - Lake: 3 Egyptian Goose, Common Pochard, Willow Tit.

Mon 25th Feb

Attenborough Nature Reserve - Short-eared Owl, Carrion Crow, Magpie, Willow Tit.
Arnot Hill Park - Bohemian Waxwing [heard at approximately 15:15 around the rose garden], 3 Goldcrest, 1 Nuthatch, 58 Tufted Duck, 1 Sparrowhawk, 23 Redwing.
Thoresby Park - 1 Black Redstart [male around gallery courtyard buildings].
Clumber Park - 1 Great Grey Shrike [South Lawns].
Kinoulton - 2 Siskin [1 male, 1 female on niger feeders].
Shelford - 2 Brent Goose [dark-bellied forms, 1 adult and 1 sub-adult].

Hoveringham - 1 Brent Goose [dark-bellied form, presumed to be a different bird from the Holme Pierrepont bird].
Thoresby Park - 1 Black Redstart [male at Courtyard cafe, SK638713].
Clumber Park - 1 Great Grey Shrike [South Lawns].
Bestwood Country Park - Mill Lakes: 1 Shelduck, 2+ Common Snipe, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Grey Wagtail. Leen Pastures: 2 Bullfinch, 2 Willow Tit.
Arnold - 15 Tree Sparrow [resident in back garden].
Oxton Estate - 150 Northern Lapwing, 70 Fieldfare. Plus: 2 Brown Hares [boxing].
Holme Grove - 5 Yellowhammer.
Holme Pierrepont - 2 Iceland Gull [both 1st winter], 2 Smew, 1 Brent Goose [dark-bellied form] ,Stonechat [junction of Adbolton Lane and Regatta Way]. A52 Pit: Yellow-legged Gull [am], 2 Glaucous Gull [1st winter], 6 Common Redshank, Common Snipe, Water Rail. Blott's Pit: 5 Common Snipe, 3 Common Redshank.
Granby - 1 Merlin [male], 2 Grey Partridge, 18 Golden Plover, 65 Fieldfare, 3 Brambling, 25 Yellowhammer.

Clifton Grove - 1 Merlin [female], 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 Goldcrest, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Cormorant, 1 Treecreeper, 2 Coal Tit, Long-tailed Tit [several], Great Tit [several], Blue Tit [several].

Colwick Country Park - 1 Iceland Gull [1st winter bird at the side of the Trout Lake with Black-headed Gulls].
West Bridgford - c.12 Siskin [on garden feeders over previous four weeks], 1 Green Woodpecker [visiting gardens in the area].
Kilvington - 4 Pink-footed Goose, 6 Greater Scaup.
Sturton High House - - 150+ Fieldfare, 4 Yellowhammer, 1 Skylark.

Thu 21st Feb

Kimberley - 1 Merlin [juvenile female flying fast and low over gardens on Dawvers Road].
Nottingham University Jubilee Campus - 2 Bullfinch [next to Tennis Court at South end].
New Kingston - 8 Common Buzzard 4 Common Kestrel, 4 Willow Tit, 2 Marsh Tit, 2 Green Woodpecker, 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker.

Wollaton Park - 15 Siskin [in Alders, lake side].
Hucknall - 2 Siskin [males in garden].
North Leverton - 1 Coal Tit [garden fereder].

Budby Common - Great Grey Shrike [far western edge of common], 2 Stonechat, 3 Common Buzzard. Pumping Station: 35 Brambling, 8 Gadwall, 2 Northern Shoveler.
Welbeck Great Lake - 9 Goosander.
Attenborough Nature Reserve - River Path: 15 Lesser Redpoll, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Common Snipe, 1 Goosander.

Sun 17th Feb

Holme Pierrepont - 5 Smew. Finger Ponds: 1 Smew [male on Finger Ponds]. Rowing Course: 5 Common Redshank, 56 Gadwall, 2 Grey wagtail. Blott's Pit: 8 Common Snipe, 2 Redshank, 18 Goldeneye. A52 Pit: Iceland Gull [1st Winter], Mediterranean Gull, 16 Common Redshank, 8 Common Snipe, Water Rail, 18 Siskin.
Clumber Park - 1 Hawfinch.
Clayworth Common - 2 Short-eared Owl [17:15].
Gringley Carr - 2 Short-eared Owl [showing well at SK7396], 3 Northern Pintail [1 male and 2 female], c.100 Corn Bunting [on set-aside].
River Idle - Hallcroft area:- 2 Bullfinch [male and female], 6 Yellowhammer, 8 Reed Bunting, 1 Shelduck, 6 Northern Shoveler, 1 Grey Heron.

Wollaton Park - 16 Northern Shoveler, 26 Gadwall, 30 Common Pochard, 1 Smew [female], 1 Treecreeper.

Sat 16th Feb

Holme Pierrepont - Marsh Harrier [seen flying very low over gravel pits. Landed in tree at far end facing the new football pitches on Regatta Way at about 15:30. Still present at 16.45].
Clumber Park - 6 Whooper Swan [in flight, low over lake], 1 Great Grey Shrike [South lawns].
Nottingham City Centre - 3 Common Buzzard [soaring above city around 11:30].
Colwick Country Park - Trout Lake: Yellow-legged Gull, 89 Common Pochard, 2 Red-crested Pochard, 12 Common Goldeneye, Mandarin Duck, 20 Northern Lapwing.
Lound - 1 Treecreeper, 2 Red-legged Partridge, 1 Bullfinch, 16 Goosander, 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Common Goldeneye [male], 1 Tree Sparrow, 32 Redwing.
Attenborough Nature Reserve - Delta Hide: 2 Little Grebe, Sparrowhawk, Reed Bunting [numerous displays], Bittern [showed for 30 minutes in the far right reed bed from 09:30 then short flight across water at 10:00. A second bird appeared from reeds and flew to join the first].

Fri 15th Feb

Attenborough Nature Reserve - 1 Red-crested Pochard [female with a small group of Mallard in SW corner of Tween Pond]. Cricket Ground: 6 Redwing, 1 Fieldfare.
Holme Pierrepont - 1 Brent Goose [dark-bellied form still present with Canada flock at 17:00 - favouring the campsite].
Clumber Park - 1 Great Grey Shrike [South Lawns].

Thu 14th Feb

Nottingham Racecourse - 2 Common Snipe, 6 Meadow Pipit, 5 Common Gull.
Colwick Country Park - 110 Common Pochard, 5 Common Goldeneye, 14 Northern Lapwing.

Wed 13th Feb

Clumber Park - 1 Firecrest [adult male seen well in Cedar often singing with crest flared watched on/off for 20 minutes], 2 Lesser Spotted Woodpecker [pair].
Colwick Country Park - Nature Reserve: 2 Chiffchaff, Coal Tit, Willow Tit, 10 Redwing, Green Woodpecker, Great Spotted Woodpecker. Loop Bank: 35 Redwing, 6 Siskin, 2 Kingfisher. Trout Lake: 14 Common Gull, 57 Common Pochard, 2 Red-crested Pochard, Mandarin Duck.
Nottingham Trent University Brackenhurst Campus - 12 Lesser Redpoll [on Stubbins Lane].

Nottingham Trent University Brackenhurst Campus - 10 Tree Sparrow [in hedge near Durdham Farm].

Budby Common - 5 Stonechat, 4 Jay, 5 Meadow Pipit, 4 Brambling [pumping station pond in Hawthorn].

Holme Pierrepont - A52 Pit: Caspian Gull [1st winter], Woodcock, 16 Common Redshank, 1000 Eurasian Wigeon, 33 Common Goldeneye, Goosander [2 over], Water Rail.
Nottingham Trent University Brackenhurst Campus - 1 Blackcap [male, around the main hall].
Nottingham City Centre - Pied Wagtail [several hundred in the Old Market Square outside The Bell public house at 19:30].
Lound - 2 Oystercatcher, 12 Common Goldeneye, 5 Common Redshank, 8 Goosander, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Lesser Redpoll.
Langford Lowfields - 3 Whooper Swan.
Colwick Country Park - 1 Mediterranean Gull [at West end of Trout Lake].
Holme Pierrepont - 1 Brent Goose [in fields west of A52 pit].
Budby South Forest - Great Grey Shrike.
Hoveringham - 26 Whooper Swan [Railway Lake at 16:00 also one on approach to Sailing Lake].
Gunthorpe/Shelford - 30 Common Snipe, 6 Common Redshank, 1 Oystercatcher, c.400 Northern Lapwing, c.500 European Golden Plover, 400+ Eurasian Wigeon, 12 Gadwall, 11 Northern Shoveler, 2 Shelduck, 2 Goosander, Grey Heron [including birds displaying on nests], 15 Bullfinch.

Holme Pierrepont - 1 Brent Goose [still ranging between rugby pitches and A52 pit], 5 Smew [Finger Ponds].
Kilvington - New Lake: 6 Greater Scaup, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Ringed Plover.
Highfields Park - Firecrest [still present 100 metres from Arts Centre car park on south of lake but elusive].
Attenborough Nature Reserve - 3 Bittern [from delta hide at at 11:00], 5 Chiffchaff [together near water teatment works at the top gate].
Clumber Park - Great Grey Shrike [on South Lawns area, 400 yards past field with white cattle].
Nottingham Trent University Brackenhurst Campus - Orwin's Field: 4 Woodcock, 1 Common Snipe, 2 Common Buzzard, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Skylark [singing]. Morton Lane: 10 Yellowhammer, 2 Marsh Tit, 1 Willow Tit.
Bulcote - 2 Shelduck, 2 Oystercatcher, 90 European Golden Plover, 80 Fieldfare.

Attenborough Nature Reserve - Beeston Pond: 2 Goosander. Main Pond: 16 Goosander, 5 Common Goldeneye. Clifton Pit: Oystercatcher, 90 Northern Lapwing, 8 Common Goldeneye. Erewash Field: Jack Snipe, 3 Common Snipe, 5 Meadow Pipit. Delta: Bittern [17:15], Common Buzzard, 3 Water Rail, 32 Northern Shoveler.
Hoveringham - Railway Lake: 2 Green Sandpiper, c.5 Common Redshank, 14 Northern Shoveler, 12 Goosander, 1 Grey Wagtail. Sailing Lake: 12 Common Redshank.
Moorgreen - High Park Wood: 1 Kestrel [sitting on tree stump], 3 Common Buzzard [quartering field side of wood].

Sturton-le-Steeple - 14 Mute Swan, 100 European Golden Plover, 1 Wren, 8 Long-tailed Tit, 1 Skylark [singing].
Shelford - 6 White-fronted Goose [still between Shelford and Shelford manor in fields with Greylag and Wigeon], Eurasian Wigeon, 2 Oystercatcher, 8 Common Redshank.

Wed 6th Feb

Colwick Country Park - Nature Reserve: 30 Long-tailed Tit, Willow Tit, 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker. The Loop: 2 Gadwall, 18 Redwing. West Lake: 29 Eurasian Wigeon. Trout Lake: 30 Northern Lapwing, 5 Common Goldeneye, Yellow-legged Gull. Migrant Trap: 6 Siskin.
Annesley - 4 Common Buzzard. Plus: 15 Fallow Deer.
Arnold - 8 Tree Sparrow [resident on feeders in back garden].
Kilvington - 4 Greater Scaup, 8 Gadwall, 2 Ringed Plover, 1 Marsh Tit.
Shelford - 6 White-fronted Goose, 8 Common Redshank, 2 Oystercatcher.

Tue 5th Feb

Leverton - 1 Common Buzzard [Leverton to Retford road].
Highfields Park - 1 Firecrest [Nottingham University Highfields site. From Arts Centre car park off University Boulevard, take path on South side of lake. Bird seen in bushes near bridge after 200 metres].
Collingham - New Workings: 280 Eurasian Wigeon, 2 Northern Pintail, 1 Short-eared Owl.
Kilvington - New Lake: 4 Greater Scaup, 1 Ringed Plover, c.250 Fieldfare.

Mon 4th Feb

Hoveringham - New Workings: Common Buzzard, Common Redshank, 12 Eurasian Teal, Yellowhammer. Railway Lake: 2 Common Redshank, 4 Common Snipe, 2 Common Shelduck, 8 Goosander, 28 Common Goldeneye, 200 European Golden Plover [over to south]. Farm Pit: 5 Common Redshank, Green Sandpiper. Sailing Lake: Whooper Swan [main gate], Oystercatcher, 120 Northern Lapwing, Tawny Owl.

Sun 3rd Feb

Nottingham Trent University - Brackenhurst Campus: c.100 Fieldfare, 30 Starlings, 20 Redwing.
Kilvington - New Lake: 3 Common Shelduck, 1 Pink-footed Goose [with the Canada Geese], 1 Ringed Plover.
Clumber Park - 1 Hawfinch.
Ruddington - Little Egret [over Loughborough Road at 10:00], 2 Common Buzzard [displaying over Ruddington Hall Woods at 11:30].
Hoveringham - Railway Lake: 16 Goosander, 16 Common Redshank.
Shelford - 5 White-fronted Goose [in fields between Shelford and Shelford Manor], 2 Oystercatcher.
Adbolton - Brent Goose, 14 Fieldfare, 9 Redwing, 6 Mistle Thrush [flooded horse paddocks opposite Colwick].
Holme Pierrepont - Goosander [female-below Holme Sluices]. Blott's Pit: Smew [female], Greater Scaup [female], 400 Eurasian Wigeon, 30 Northern Lapwing [over]. A52 Pit: 1100 Eurasian Wigeon, 70 Fieldfare.

Tollerton - 3 Common Buzzard.
Rufford Country Park - Blackbird [completely white albinistic male seen near main entrance], 8 Siskin, 5 Nuthatch, 7 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Common Buzzard, 1 Kingfisher.
Budby Common - 2 Stonechat [male & female], 40 Northern Lapwing [over].
Clumber Park - 5 Hawfinch [in Chapel garden area - early morning], Lesser Spotted Woodpecker [narrow wooded area to left of road going towards Drayton Gate], 3 Marsh Tit, 3 Nuthatch, 4 Goosander.

Fri 1st Feb

Nottingham Trent University - Brackenhurst Campus: 2 Marsh Tit, 4 Yellowhammer, 1 Common Snipe, 2 Woodcock [Orwins Field].
Attenborough Nature Reserve - Delta Gate: Willow Tit, Coal Tit. Clifton Pit: 300 Golden Plover [over to SW]. Coneries: 4 Goosander, Chiffchaff.
